2016 -   Water Works Ultra - Runners Guide
 
Race Rules
 
50km / 100km Solo
 
Participants must display their assigned race bib at all time throughout the race. 
Participants can only receive assistance from their support crew within the 'runners area'. 

Participants must follow the instructions of the various course marshals at the various crossing. Any participants who disregard the instructions of the marshals will be will be served a warning. Anyone who received a second warning will be immediately disqualified.
 
Solo participants registered in the 50km (14 laps) or 100km (28 laps) are not to swap their assigned race bib with any other individual.
 
Participants must complete full laps (each at 3.5km). They must run across the start / finish line timing mat to be counted as one lap. Participants can rest for however long required
 
50km team relay (Pair) 
The change-over can happen at any lap and runners do not need to run equal distance. The team will qualify to have finished their race when they complete their total number of required laps.

100km Team Relay, Team of 4 participants.
The change-over can happen at any lap and runners do not need to run equal distance. The team will qualify to have finished their race when they complete their total number of required laps.  
 
Team change over can ONLY take place in the designated. Runners must hand over the 'wrist band' within the defined area. 
 
All runners must complete the marked course on foot under their own power and must stay on the marked course; shortcuts are not permitted. 
 
Support / Support crew
 
Runners are required to bring their own nutrition, there will be a limited array of food and drinks ranging from Tailwind Nutrition, Coca-Cola, fruits, lollies and many more.
 
There will be first-aid available on-site to assist you with any medical issues. 
 
Participants, regardless solo or relay team, do not need support crew for this event. However we very much welcome you to bring them along to support or cheer you on. We encourage you to bring your own pop-up tent, tables, chairs or own picnic rug.  If you are from a running group, club or a company and would like to bring you pop up tent as some form of shelter, we would welcome you to bring them. 
 
Will my bibs be posted?

Unfortunately no. 
 
What time can I pick up my bib race day?

Race-day bib pickup will available up to 30 minutes prior to your race start.
 
   
Is there a maximum number of runners?

Yes, the maximum number of runners for 2017 is 250 (this total includes teams and solo runners).
    
 
Refund Policy
 
Please understand that once an entry has been accepted, we are not in a position to provide a refund should you choose to withdraw from the event or otherwise unable to make it.
 
In the event that the event course is, in the opinion of the event organisers, unsafe (for example by reason of heavy rain, high winds, bushfires, "acts of god"), organisers may, in their sole discretion, attempt to re-route the course, find an alternative shortened course or cancel the event. The organiser reserves the right to alter the course without notice and/or cancel the event in consultation with, and under the direction of, emergency services agencies and major event stakeholders or landowners. In the unlikely circumstance that the event is cancelled for reasons outside of our control, we will be unable to offer a refund of your entry fee.
